Two Trees hinged hoops from Juan Sandoval Vazquez. The chubby sterling silver hoops are clip-on; they are hinged at the base, with clamshell-like tops that clasp the earlobe. The adorable hoops are rounded and fat. The interiors are thoroughly marked "Mexico," "TS-134," "925," and with Vazquez's Two Trees maker's mark. A very fun pair of statement earrings from an important artist. Circa 1970.
The city of Taxco is an important center for Mexican silver jewelry design. The main attraction for the designers and studio jewelers was the abundant supply of locally mined materials; silver and semi precious gems. The "TS-134" mark indicates this piece was made in Taxco.
Details.....The hoops measure 1.06" by 1.15" and 0.55" wide. In Very Good Vintage Condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique jewels; we consider it part of the charm.
