Bernal Cutlery is excited to introduce our line of dashi packets made in Japan.
This rich dashi has dried ago (flying fish) added to the traditional blend of katsuo (bonito), iwashi (sardines), shiitake and kombu, packing a strong punch of flavor. Made only with premium ingredients from Japan, all fish in this product are wild caught. No preservatives or MSG. Comes with 7 individual packets in a resealable bag.
Instructions for broth: Place 1 dashi packet in 500-600ml of cold water, heat on low-medium until it reaches a soft boil. Turn heat down to low and boil for 5 minutes while occasionally stirring. You can also use a cold brew method by putting the packet in water overnight in the fridge.
In addition to the traditional use for making dashi broth, these packets can also be opened up to use as dashi powder for dishes such as fried rice or sprinkling on top of vegetables for a salad.
Instead of packing a thermos of coffee or tea, why not bring hot dashi? Simply place a dashi packet and hot water in your insulated beverage holder of choice.
